2 Days After Wigwe’s Death, Access Holding Plc Appoints New Acting CEO

In order not to leave the space vacant, the Access Holding Plc has on Monday, February 12, emerged Bolaji Agbede, as the new acting Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), two days after the death of Herbert Wigwe.

The appointment is in response to the unexpected death of its late Group Chief Executive Officer, Herbert Wigwe, who passed in a helicopter crash on Friday.Wigwe died in the United States alongside his wife, son, and three others.

While revealing the new development in a statement on Monday, the company wrote;

“Further to its announcement dated February 11, 2024, the Board of Directors of Access Holdings Plc (‘the Company’) has today announced the appointment of Ms Bolaji Agbede as the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of the Company following the unfortunate demise of its former Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr Herbert Wigwe, on February 9, 2024”.
