“I Deeply Apologize To Nigerians” – Super Eagles’ Goalkeeper, Nwabali Says

Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Nwabali Stanley, has took out time to apologize to Nigerians for losing the 2023 AFCON cup to Ivory Coast team.

The finals which took place at Abidjan on Sunday night, February 11, left Nigerians heartbroken after the country’s opponent won with 2 – 1.

While thanking everyone for their support from the beginning of the match till the end, he also revealed that he knows how a disappointing night feels because he is still a fan of football.

Nwabali says his team take full responsibility for allowing the second goal to be scored.

Revealing this via his Instagram page immediately after the match, Nwabali said;

“A disappointing and frustrating end. I deeply apologize to Nigerians. I was once a fan, still a fan and I understand how it feels giving you a disappointing night.

“We take full responsibility. Thanks for the whole support till the end. I love you all”.
