Obasanjo Reportedly Disrespects Traditional Rulers In Oyo State

The former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo was angered at the commissioning of the 34.85km Oyo-Iseyin road in Oyo State.

Obasanjo, reportedly commanded the royal leaders at the event to be on their feet and greet him when he was called to speak.

The incident has however been criticised on social media, leaving some accusing Obasanjo of disrespect to the traditional rulers.

In the event Obasanjo stated that “We must discard a form of democracy that perpetuates poverty, insecurity, and unemployment, and instead prioritize the people’s enjoyment of the dividends of democracy.”
