Nigeria’s foremost, celebrity, tv /Podcast host, Toke Makinwa who is also known as Tokstarr as come out to spill the beans about her crashed marriage.

In a recent episode of her podcast, TokeMoments,” she disclosed that she would have stayed in her marriage if she had a child.

Recall her marriage to her then best friend, Maye Ayida fell out when it was revealed he was cheating on her and had a pregnant girlfriend.

Toke revealed many women in recent times stay in abusive marriages all because of their children. They don’t want their children to grow up in a broken home.

She went further to disclose that she would have done the same for the case of her child and stayed in her loveless marriage.

In her own words:

, “A lot of women stay in unhealthy marriages for their children. For the longest, you hear so many women say things like, ‘The marriage is done but I only stay for my kids.’

“And I’m going to be honest here, if I had had a kid while I was married, I may have been one of those women. Because I also had the trauma of losing both parents at the age of 8. I mean, I was adopted. I have a great life which I’m thankful for but there were times that I wondered what life could have possibly been like if that hadn’t happened.

“So, for the sake of my children, I may have had to compromise just because I wanted them to have mum and dad. I may have been one of these women. So, I’m not even judging anyone right here.”
