super Eagles striker Victor Boniface have been named Bundesliga player of the month for August following a fine start to the new campaign.

The German top flight, using their verified social media platforms announced the news of Victor Boniface’s emergence as the August Bundesliga player of the month.

Boniface, who joined Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen from Belgian pro League outfit Union Saint Gilloise this summer, scored four goals in the opening three Bundesliga games of the season.

The 22 year old Nigerian International opened his Bundesliga account with a brace against Borussia Mochengladbach on match day two and scored two others on match day three against newly promoted Darmstadt.

His hot streak in front of goal earned him a maiden call up for Nigeria , making his Super Eagles debut against Sao Tome and Principe in a 2024 African Cup of Nations Qualifier last weekend.
