Information reaching Rant HQ has it that the Nigerian Professional Football League 23/24 season have been postponed.

Members of the The Nigerian Professional Football League Board in a letter signed by Mr Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer, confirmed the postponement of the new 23/24 season citing an issue relating to the sponsorship of the League as the reason for the postponement

According to the letter, a new date for the commencement of the 23/24 season will be made public as soon as it has been determined. The new 23/24 football season was due to begin this weekend, precisely on Saturday the 9th of September.
