Just In : Erling Haaland Wins The Player Of The Year Gong In Tonight’s PFA Awards

Norwegian striker Erling Haaland picked up the Professional Footballers’Association’s Player of the year [ for the 22/23season ]award tonight.

The Manchester City forward won the award ahead of the other nominees which includes team mates Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, former Spurs’ forward Harry Kane ,Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.

Despite not winning the most coveted prize, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka picked up the PFA’s Young player of the year gong while Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford took home the PFA Player’s Player of the year gong.

In the women’s Category , Chelsea’s Lauren James picked up the PFA Women’s young player of the year gong just as Aston Villa’s Rachael Daly went home with the PFA Player’s Player of the year gong for the ladies.

The PFA Premier League’s team of the year had five Manchester City players in the line up with John Stones, Ruben Dias, Rodriguez, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland included. Arsenal had four players in the line up with Aaron Ramsdale, William Sliba, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka representing Mikel Arteta’s side.

Former Tottenham Hotspurs’ forward Harry Kane and Newcastle United’s Kieran Tripper were the other other to make the PFA Premier League team of the year eleven.
