Super Eagles Forward, Taiwo Awoniyi was on target for his Premier League club Nottingham Forest as the home side defeated newly promoted Sheffield United 2-1 at the City Ground.
The former Union Berlin of Germany forward gave his side the lead after just three minutes on the clock , finding the back of the net with a close range header after Serge Aurier picked him up with a first time cross.

The away side drew level two minutes after the restart with Gustavo Hamer making no mistake from close range after the ball fell to him on a rebound just outside the box.
Steve Cooper’s men eventually took the points thanks to a late finish from Substitute Chris Wood in the first minute of added time. The former Burnley and Newcastle United forward ‘s close range bullet header off a nother cross from Serge Aurier had Wesley Foderingham in goal for Sheffield lost in no man’s land.

Awoniyi’s first half strike was his second goal of the season as he was also on target in Forest’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal in their opening Premier League game of the season last weekend.
