In a heart-breaking turn of events, a young 20 year-old man has ended his life due to the fact that he was prohibited from getting married to his cousin.

Ezron Kumwenda who is from Zambia decided to end it all on a tree when relatives vehemently refused him tying the knot with his cousin

Kaunda Mubanga who is Muchinga Police Commanding Officer disclosed to the press that Late Kumwenda left a suicide note in which he explained reasons for his actions. He revealed that he and his cousin have been dating for sometime without knowledge of being first cousins.

“After informing their respective parents, the two families could not approve of the union as it was discovered that the two love birds were first cousins.” Mr Mubanga disclosed.

His body has been released to his family for burial since there was no foul play
