Rivers United signs 8 players ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The Pride of Rivers announced the signing of 8 players shortly before the NPFL summer transfer window closes. The players were unveiled by the club ahead of next season.

According to the club, the players signed from different clubs are their names are revealed as:

“The players include the duo of Asiegbu Shedrack and Akubueze John Uche, who joined from Rangers Int’l; Fatai Abdullahi and Adeleke Adekunle David from Enyimba FC; Yao Kouassi Bernard (CIV) from TS Galaxy South Africa; Antwi Samuel Adom from King Faisal FC Ghana; Echeta Deputy (Bendel Insurance); and Ebedebiri Endurance (Bayelsa United).”

The club further disclosed that the unveiling ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt with the Commissioner for Sports in Rivers State, Barr. Chris Green, General Manager of Rivers United, Dr Okey Kpalukwu, Technical Manager Stanley Eguma in attendance.

“The unveiling ceremony which was held on Wednesday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt had in attendance Commissioner for Sports in Rivers State, Barr. Chris Green, General Manager of Rivers United, Dr Okey Kpalukwu, Technical Manager Stanley Eguma and members of the Rivers United Supporters Club led by Caretaker Chairman, Mr Otis Asonye.”

The Pride of Rivers United will compete for honours in the forthcoming season in the Federation Cup, Nigeria Premier Football League, and the CAF Confederations Cup.
