My Dream Was To Be A Lawyer, Not a Footballer – Asisat Oshoala

Super Falcons and Barcelona forward, Asisat Oshoala in an interview disclosed that it has been her childhood dream to be a lawyer and not a professional footballer.

The 5 times African Player of the Year in her interview asserted major reasons why being a lawyer has been her dream:

“I never wanted to play football professionally. It was never in my plan.”

“So I wanted to be a lawyer, for real. That was my dream. I wanted to be a lawyer. You know, I love to make research. I love to question people. I love to make excuses for people. And all of that, you know.

“So even though when you are wrong, I still, kind of like, back my friends up. I kind of like to give excuses.”

Oshoala scored Nigeria’s last goal during the Falcon’s 3-2 emphatic win over host Australia during their second group B game.

Nigeria is billed to face Euros Champions England on Monday morning as they seek to reach the last eight at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup
