The Nigerian President and ECOWAS chairman Ahmed Tinubu reportedly sent delegates with the aim of resolving the current political Crisis in the Niger Republic.

Report has it that the the delegates headed by former Nigerian Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (Rtd) includes the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III and the President of the ECOWAS Commission, H.E. Omar Alieu Touray has reached the country.

The ECOWAS chairman has tasked the delegations to converse with all stakeholders and to reach a conclusive resolution in Niger.
