Ex Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, has finally break his silence over alleged beef with veteran singer, Innocent Idibia aka 2Baba.

Few years ago, report went viral few that the football legend, snubbed the veteran singer, 2Baba at a club in London.However, Mikel Obi came out to say that he has never snubbed 2baba, adding that he is a big fan of his songs.

A fan asked Mikel via the comment box if he had snubbed 2Baba back then, the ex-football star wrote;

“No, I never did. Am a big fan of his. So I wouldn’t do such a thing have a lovely day.

”Flashback to 2006, it was alleged that Mikel snubbed 2Baba at a club in London and 2Baba was said to have released a song ‘Only Me’ for the football star in 2010.

In 2016, 2Baba in an interview with Brila FM, denied releasing the song for Mikel and also revealed that such incident never took place in London.

“At the time I did the song, Mikel had issues with his inability to show up for certain Super Eagles games. Then some very good rumour monger picked a line from my song as regards patriotism towards representing the National football team and ran with the story of a rift between us.

“I spoke with Mikel on the phone and we had a good laugh about it,” 2baba stated
