The Super Falcons are to get #46.2 m each for reaching the round of 16.

The Super Falcons will get the monetary price of #46.2 m for reaching the round of 16 of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. 

For the first time in history, the Super Falcons finished their group-stage games, avoiding a defeat since 1991. They earned 5 decisive points after a two-barren draw against Canada and Ireland and a resilience 3-2 victory over Australia.

The girls who reached the last 16 according to FIFA will be entitled to a monetary price of #46.2 m following their outstanding campaign. 

The girls received many congratulatory messages from top Nigerians after the game against Ireland. 

Among is the Super Eagle Head Coach, Jose Peseiro who shared his support for the girls via his Facebook page:

“Well done! Congratulations to the Super Falcons for their brilliant qualification to the knockout phase of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, let’s go for more!”
