Spain all but secured a round of 16 Spot at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup following a comprehensive 5-0 win over Zambia at the Eden Park in Auckland.

zambia grew into the contest shortly afterwards and late into first half but still didn’t offer any genuine threat for Spain before the break.
9 minutes after the hour mark, Spain deservedly grabbed a third. Alba Maria Redondo Ferrer scored with a fine effort. She showed composure, rounded the keeper before slotting home after Eva Maria Navarro put her through with a fine pass.

The result effectively sent Spain through to the next round of the competition. Zambia on the other hand faces elimination after they lost yet again and following their 5-0 loss to Japan.
