There Federal High Court in Lagos was filled with drama as the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) battles over the custody of embattled Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele.

According to report, the DSS made an attempt re-arresting Godwin Emefiele after being granted the sum of N20M bail by the court. The former CBN governor was previously charged by the Federal Ministry of Justice of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

According to Sources, the DSS officials attempted to re-arrest having granted bail by the court. It was reported that the battle for Emefiele custody between the two agencies lasted for minutes before the DSS officials gave up Emefiele to allowed the NCS.
