18-year-old Linda Caicedo is the first player to start and score in three World Cups within a year.

Colombia and Real Madrid forward Linda Caicedo became the first player ever to start and score in three World Cups in a year after their 2-0 triumph over South Korea during their first game in Group H.

Linda’s 39th minute strike aided the Coffee Growers to their first win following a 2-0 convincing victory over South Korea at full time.

In the span of a year, Linda Caicedo has featured for Colombia in three tiers of World Cup: 2022 U17 World Cup, 2022 U20 World Cup, 2023 World Cup – in which she has started and scored in all the three 

Linda joined Real Madrid this year from Deportivo Cali and in her 14 league appearances – she has netted twice for Los Blancos Femini.
