Premier League giants, Arsenal and Chelsea went goal crazy, beating their respectively opponent 5-0 to kick off their pre-season campaign in fantastic fashion.
While it was a much recognizable Arsenal team that started their encounter against an MLS All star team [ a team comprising of players from various MLS clubs ] , Chelsea kicked off their game with an experimental and young outfit

At the Audi Field in Washington, the Gunners got off to a perfect start with Gabriel Jesus giving them an early lead in the 5th minute. Leandro Troussard made it two in the 23rd minute before Jorginho added a third from the spot just after the break.
Substitutes Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz grabbed the fourth and fifth for Mikel Arteta’s men late in the second half to seal off the comprehensive win against a team that had both from Crystal Palace forward, Christian Benteke and ex- Barcelona midfielder, Riqui Puig in their ranks.
New recruits, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice both made their maiden appearance for Arsenal , coming off the bench to replace William Saliba and Jorginho in the 64th and 65th minutes respectively.

Elsewhere in North Carolina, it was a perfect start for Mauricio Pochettino in what was his first game at Chelsea boss. His experiment side against English lower League side Wrexham took an early lead thanks to a goal from Ian Maartsen in the 3rd minute.

The young full back, who spent last season on loan at Burnley grabbed his second and the blues second just before the break before substitute Connor Gallagher made it three in the 80th minute.
Christopher Nkunku and Ben Chilwell scored Chelsea 4th and 5th goal, coming off the bench as well.
