Reports reaching RantHq has it that, youths of Ubeji, an area in Warri LG in Delta State has implemented a law saying “any lady found indecently dressed in the LG area, will receive 40 strokes cane.”
This latest development law was related to the general public by the Youths spokesman, Stanley Bomele.He explained this was a joint decision by the Ubeji youths and this new law is named “War Against Indecent Dressing.”
He explained further in the News conference, any lady who was caught indecent dressed, has an option of N10,000 fine instead of 40 strokes of cane.
Bomele explained reason for this drastic measures was because of the high rate of sexual assault and harassment. He said wearing of bum shorts, miniskirt, biker tights and shorts is also prohibited.
