Official : Arsenal Completes The Long Awaited Signing Of Declan Rice

Arsenal have completed the long awaited capture of Declan Rice from West Ham United on a five year contract worth an initial £100m [plus £5m in add ons].

Shortly after the 24 year old midfielder completed the mandatory medical procedure, the deal was subsequently announced by the club.

Through the club’s recognized social media platform[s] , a statement was released to that effect. The statement read, ” Declan Rice completes transfer to Arsenal”

After completing the switch across town from the London stadium to the Emirates, Rice becomes the most expensive English player in Premier League history.

Rice, who helped West Ham United win the UEFA Europa Conference League title last season will now join the rest of the team in time for their pre-season trip to the US this Sunday.

The defensive midfielder becomes Mikel Arteta’s third summer signing following the recent capture of Jurrien Timber from Ajax and Kai Havertz from Chelsea for a combined fee of £103m.

He rounded up a 10 years stay at West Ham with the UEFA Europa Conference League title as captain, appearing 245 times across all competitions for the Hammers.

He wears the number 41 shirt , same as he did for West Ham.
