Fabinho left out of Liverpool’s pre-season squad amidst huge interest from Al Lttihad.

Fabinho has been left out of Liverpool’s pre-season squad amidst huge interest from Saudi Arabian Pro League club Al lttihad. This was coming after Liverpool received an official bid of around £40m for the service of the Brazilian by Al Lttihad yesterday.

The offer has not been rejected by Liverpool, meaning Fabinho is most likely to leave Anfield this summer.

The club Captain Jordan Henderson has also been linked with Steven Gerrard who recently was appointed the head coach of Al Ettifaq, although Henderson is included in the pre-season squad that will. travel to Germany for their training tour since no official bid has been made for the English midfielder.

In an update confirmed by Neil Jones, one of Liverpool’s top journalists, he wrote:

“Fabinho has been left out of Liverpool’s squad for their pre-season training camp in Germany. The decision was taken after the Reds received an official £40m offer from Saudi Pro-League club Al Ittihad for the Brazilian midfielder on Friday evening. A deal is now expected to be completed, leaving Liverpool with the challenge of replacing the 29-year-old.

Jordan Henderson has been named in the traveling party despite interest from Al Ettifaq. No offer has yet been received, with Liverpool demanding an asking price of significantly more than £10m for their captain.”

In this summer transfer, Liverpool has witnessed an absolute revamping of the squad, especially in the midfield – James Milner, Naby Keïta, and Oxlade Chamberlain have all been released from the midfield.

In rebuilding, the club has added two midfielders, Argentina World Cup winner Mac Allister joined from Brighton and Dominik Szoboslai from RB Leipzig in Germany.
