Quite emphatically, Ons Jabeur sealed a semi final spot at the on going Wimbledon Open championship after defeating Elina Rybakina 6-7 6-4 6-1.

After dropping the first set, Jabeur rallied back to take the final two sets quite easily and by so doing, got her pound of flesh over the championship’s reigning champion.

It would be recalled that the Tunisian lost last year’s final to 3rd seed Kazakhtani player.

Earlier, Aryna Sabalenka powered her way into the Semi final stage after beating Madison Keys in two straight set 6-2 6-4.

TThe second seed Russian made the contest look too easy as Madison Keys offered little enough to trouble her opponent.. Sabalenka’s victory ensured she reached the semi final at Wimbledon for only the second time.

EUp next for both Ons Jabeur and Aryna Sabalenka is a semi final meeting in a couple of days time.
