Court Remands Lawyer In EFCC Custody Over Alleged Conspiracy With Stella Oduah

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday by James Omotosho has handed, Ibrahim Mohammed a lawyer to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) charging him for an eight-count criminal charge against embattled Senator Stella Oduah without the authority of the agency.

It was reported that the Federal Government arraign the former senator at the Federal High Court in Abuja. One of the main charges filed the anti graft agency, is the falsification of the misplacement of her National Youth Service Corps certificate, and related other alleged offences.

It was also gathered that in the documents tendered to the court, the charge was filed on June 26, 2023, at the Federal High Court, Abuja Judicial Division by Ochugwu Ogbeh Esq. and Ibrahim Mohammed Esq. of the Legal and Prosecution Department of the EFCC in Benin, Edo state.

In May 2022, the NYSC, in a letter, with identification NYSC/DHQ/PPRU/783/Vol III, revealed that Stella Oduah one-year NYSC programme was incomplete, in response to an inquiry made by a group known as the Concerned Anambra North PDP Stakeholders.

It was noted Oduah commenced her NYSC programme in 1982 but reportedly left conspiring with the former minister not to reveal the truth.
