Wimbledon Update: Keys Ends Andreeva’s Hope Of A Fairy Tale Story

Madison Keys booked a spot in the quarter final stage of the on going Wimbledon championship after coming back from a set down to beat Mirra Andreeva

The women’s world number 25 survived an early scare to win the round of tie 3-6 7-6 6-2 to advance to quarter finals for the first time since 2015.

It could have been something for Mirra Andreeva if she had gone on to win the contest after picking up the first set but for Madison Keys’ timely fight back, the teenage’s stay at Wimbledon came to an end.

Ot would be recalled that Mirra Andreeva against all expectation defeated Anastasia Potapova in the last round, a feat that put her on the spotlight.

In a related development, world number 22 Ekaterina Alexandria of Russia is currently taking on Number 2 in the ranking, Aryna Sabalenka for a place in the quarter finals in the women’s side of the draw.

In the Men’s side of the draw, Christopher Eubank of the US is currently taking on world number 5 Stefano’s Tsitsipas. While another game involving Daniel Medvedev and Jiri Lehecka is also on. Both games are round of 16 ties
