Hatayspor honored the late Christian Atsu in their first game since the devastating Turkey earthquake
Hatayspor, the club of the late former Ghanaian player Christian Atsu, has honored him in their first game since the horrific earthquake rocked the nation, claiming thousands of lives since February this year.
Christian Atsu, who before his death was playing for the Turkish outfit Hatayspor was one of the notable people killed during the earthquake in early February this year.
The Hatayspor Football Club honored the player by inscribing the name of the Ghanaian Footballs name on their jerseys. Before the game, a minute of silence was also observed in the continuation of his commiseration.
On their Facebook page, it reads: “Always in our Heart.”
The Preseason friendly game against Hull City, which was played at the Bursa Timsah Arena, Turkey ended 1-1 at full time.
